Important Notes for PayPal Users:

Our PayPal checkout system is not enabled to permit a choice of shipping options. This is because we offer free shipping on virtually all items (exceptions listed in the Shipping Cost section below). All items are shipped by major carriers and the warehouse will select the most appropriate carrier for your shipping address. Please feel free to contact us if you have special shipping requirements.

PayPal does not automatically display a breakdown of your purchase cost. Your shopping cart total includes the total cost of your item(s) before taxes. After you log into PayPal, your total will increase by the amount of the sales tax for your province. If you are checking out with a credit card rather than a PayPal account, PayPal will add the sales tax immediately AFTER you enter your address. If you want to see a breakdown of the costs, simply click on the purchase amount to the right of the PayPal logo and a dropdown will appear.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Interac e-Transfer, and PayPal, along with debit and cash for in-person sales. We also accept payment by wire transfer or Global money transfer; please contact us for more information. Unfortunately, we do not accept personal cheques.

For large volume corporate and government sales, we offer terms of Net 30 days from date of invoice on approved credit. A late charge of 1.5% per month will be applied to all unpaid balances over 30 days.

All products remain the property of Modern Alchemy Air Purifiers until paid in full.

Shipping Costs

free shipping logo We offer free shipping on all AllerAir, Austin Air, Blueair, Epurair, IQAir and Oransi air purifiers, as well as on all Venta humidifiers. Free shipping offer excludes Electrocorp products and is good in Canada only. Orders from Northern Canada and remote areas may be subject to shipping charges, please contact us for a shipping estimate.

We are happy to ship our products anywhere in Canada. Air Quality Test Kits and I Can Breathe! products can also be shipped to the US.

Shipping charges for products other than air purifiers/humidifiers are as follows:

Return Policy

guarantee logo IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE: Please read the information below carefully as some manufacturers have temporarily changed their return policy or implemented cancellation fees during the Covid-19 pandemic. Please see the specific details for each manufacturer below and carefully review the details of our Return Process.

IMPORTANT: Absolutely no returns will be accepted after 30 days (14 days for Oransi air purifiers and Venta humidifiers), or on any products that have incomplete packaging or missing components, or have been cosmetically or otherwise damaged in any way. The decision to refuse a refund due to products being received in poor condition rests solely with the manufacturer. You MUST obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number in order to secure your right to a refund (see Return Process)

Return Process

If you wish to return a unit, you MUST email us in advance to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number. Include your full name, address, telephone number, invoice number (or date of purchase) and the reason for the return in your email. We will then provide you with an RA number from the manufacturer and information on where to send the item. It is your responsibility to ship the item back to the manufacturer at your own expense. Most manufacturers specify a time limit in which the item must be received and will not issue a refund for items that arrive after this date or without an RA number.

In order to prevent possible transport damages and to secure your rights to receive a refund, units must be returned packed exactly as they were received. The unit must be shipped back in the original packaging, with tracking, proof of delivery and insurance (for the full value of the unit). Note that Modern Alchemy Air Purifiers does not cover return shipping, handling or insurance costs for returned or exchanged products.

Once the item has been received, inspected and approved for return by the manufacturer (which can take up to 60 days), we will issue a refund. All refunds will be issued via the original method of payment.


Our products come with some of the best warranties in the industry:

The air purifiers we sell are safety tested and approved for 120V outlets only. They will be damaged if plugged into a 220-240V outlet, and the use of a transformer or adapter may not eliminate the risk of damage. Manufacturers will offer no warranty coverage or refunds on air purifiers that are used outside of North America. If you are interested in an air purifier for overseas use, Oransi, AllerAir and Austin Air offer custom-built units for this purpose. Contact us for pricing and delivery times.
