We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal, along with debit and cash for in-person sales. We also accept payment by bank transfer, please contact us for more information. Unfortunately, we do not accept personal cheques.

For large volume corporate and government sales, we offer terms of Net 30 days from date of invoice on approved credit. A late charge of 1.5% per month will be applied to all unpaid balances over 30 days.

Until paid in full, all products remain the property of Modern Alchemy Air Purifiers Inc. (operating as Modern Alchemy Air Purifiers) and title will not pass.

We stock our most popular brands and models, but due to the large variety of colours and styles available, some items are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse. Typical turnaround times are as follows:

Shipping Costs

We offer free shipping on all Austin Air, Blueair, AllerAir, Epurair and IQAir air purifiers, as well as on all Venta Airwasher humidifiers. Free Shipping offer is good in Canada only (Northern and remote areas excepted) and excludes Electrocorp products.

We are happy to ship our products anywhere in Canada. All of our air purifiers and humidifiers are shipped for free via major carriers with insurance and tracking numbers. AllerAir and Venta products may also be shipped to the US, but depending on the item, shipping charges may apply.

Shipping charges for products other than air purifiers/humidifiers are as follows:

If purchasing online, shipping charges will be displayed in your shopping cart before proceeding to checkout, giving you the opportunity to review the charges before you submit your order.

Note: For customers located in Northern Canada or remote areas that are subject to higher than normal delivery costs, we will contact you to discuss the most economical way of getting the product to you.

Return Policy

In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with the air purifier that you purchased from us, Modern Alchemy Air Purifiers offers a generous 30-day return policy on all home/office air purifiers. Please see specific details for each manufacturer below and scroll down to review the details of our Return Process.

NOTE: Absolutely no returns will be accepted on air purifiers after 30 days (14 days for Venta humidifiers), or on any products that have incomplete packaging or missing components, or have been cosmetically or otherwise damaged in any way. The decision to refuse a refund due to products being received in poor condition rests solely with the manufacturer. Units that arrive late or without a Return Authorization (RA) number will be sent back to you at your expense (see return process below.

Return Process

If you wish to return a unit, you MUST email us in advance to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number. Include your full name, address, telephone number, invoice number (or date of purchase) and the reason for the return in your email. We will then provide you with an RA number from the manufacturer and information on where to send the item. It is your responsibility to ship the item back to the manufacturer at your own expense. Most manufacturers specify a time limit in which the item must be received. Items that arrive after this date or without an RA number will be shipped back to you at your own expense.

In order to prevent possible transport damages and to secure your rights to receive a refund, units must be returned packed exactly as they were received. The unit must be shipped back in the original packaging, with tracking, proof of delivery and insurance (for the full value of the unit). Note that Modern Alchemy Air Purifiers does not cover return shipping, handling or insurance costs for returned or exchanged products.

Once the item has been received, inspected and approved for return by the manufacturer, we will issue a refund. All refunds will be issued via the original method of payment. If you are exchanging an item, we will contact you about the remaining balance owed or refund being issued (if the cost of the new unit is more or less than your original item), and inform you of your options to have the new unit shipped to you.


Our products come with some of the best warranties in the industry:

If you have a warranty claim, simply email us to let us know about the problem you are experiencing. Include your full name, address, telephone number and invoice number (or date of purchase). We will then provide you with information on where to send the unit. Package the product carefully, enclose a copy of your original receipt and ship it with insurance. It is your responsibility to ship the unit back to the manufacturer at your own expense.

The air purifiers we sell are safety tested and approved for 120V outlets only. They will be damaged if plugged into a 220-240V outlet, and the use of a transformer or adapter may not eliminate the risk of damage. Manufacturers will offer no warranty coverage or refunds on air purifiers that are used outside of North America. If you are interested in an air purifier for overseas use, Austin Air and AllerAir offer custom-built units for this purpose. Contact us for pricing and delivery times.
